Marriage proposals are such a lovely phenomena between a couple who has been so in love with each other for a long time, and that they decided to finally tie the knot and as mere spectators of such things, we, too, can absolutely feel that love is really in the air. But some couples really want to do the surprise to the next level by doing flash mobs, romantic gimmicks, and such but this one-of-a-kind proposal is different among the rest because a policeman, proposed to the love of his life in front and presence of the President of the Philippines, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. And we wonder how the woman reacted to it?
Police Senior Inspector, Arvin Jumillo, breaks the odds and decides to grab this rare and wonderful opportunity to propose marriage to his long-time girlfriend and one of te President's security aide, Police Senior Inspector Romea Kinang. Jumillo uttered the words of love, with his voice shaking and trembling in mixed emotions, said to everyone in the hall with a message directed to the love of his life:
""My beloved President sir, humihiling po ako ng tatlong minute lang po sa ngalan ng pag-ibig, sir. I would like to take this, I would like to grab this very rare opportunity and perfect timing, sir. Lingid sa kaalaman ng nakararami, sir, iyong aide-de-camp n'yo, sir, si Police Senior Inspector Romea Alnieza Kinang, sir, is my girlfriend for five years and 10 months already." (My beloved President sir, I'm asking for just 3 minutes of your time in the name of love, sir. I would like to take this, I would like to grab this very rare opportunity and perfect timing, sir. Not very much known by everyone, sir, your aide-de-camp, sir, Police Senior Inspector Romea Alnieza Kinang, sir, is my girlfriend for five years and 10 months already."
Jumillo began to share a piece of their own love story, saying that they could have been married within this month if only they have not fought and broke up. But Jumillo said that everything fell into its right place at this perfect timing for him to fix things up, own up his shortcomings as a boyfriend to Kinang, and finally now he has the guts to ask her hand for marriage saying that [non-verbatim], "...if in that five years I did not manage to prove myself to you, I ask for your hand once again and for that I have forever to prove myself to you and be a better person."
The President, alongside with his presidential advisor, Bong-Go, watched the romantic marriage proposal by one of the members of the arms, feeling intrinsically happy for the two. After a long speech of Jumillo, he went straight to Kinang, offering her with the bouquet of flowers he had on his hand, went down on one knee and offered her the ring. PSI Kinang, by all means, touchingly says, "Yes."
The two were very happy and for that they did not miss this opportunity as well to be photographed with the President of the Philippines to serve as one of their wedding memorabilia.
